Description
WELL STRUCK LUSTROUS SURFACES. VERY SCARCE DATE. ONLY A FEW GRADED HIGHER AT PCGS. POSSIBLY THE HIGHEST STICKERED BY CAC. CAC. The 1841 is the most plentiful Libery Eagle produced up to that point in time. You should not forget, however, that this issue is still an important numismatic rarity when viewed in the wider context of numismatics. Survivors from an original mintage of 63,131 pieces are very scarce through EF-45 and rare any finer. The handful of examples discovered as part of the S.S. Republic treasure did not include any Mint State coins, and the 1841 remains exceedingly rare at that level of preservation.
