Description
A very tough Civil War era gold piece struck during a terrible and humbling time in our nation's history. Just under one million pieces were minted, with very few survivors, especially with CAC's approval. A pleasing XF survivor with orange-gold surfaces and deeper coloration around the peripheral devices. Grade-defining wear and chatter are visible from a humbling time in circulation, but the overall eye appeal is pleasing. A tough coin to locate, this piece should not be passed up by series specialists!
