1867 $20 PCGS MS63 ex: D.L. Hansen

A highly sought-after Type Two Double Eagle, difficult to locate in MS 62 and rare any higher. The present MS63 example comes from a population of eight between all major grading services with two MS66s graded. There is speculation, however, it is very possible that the NGC MS66 was crossed to PCGS and has not dropped off of the census reports. Sharp details are highlighted by bright flashy luster beaming from every inch. Gorgeous light gold surfaces are completely untoned and display a healthy amount of semi-prooflike contrast. The strong eye appeal for the grade can not be understated! Light chatter on the fields defines the grade, but does not detract from the high-end eye appeal or technical quality. - Liberty Head $20
