Description
The 1841 Liberty Seated Quarter, Type II No Motto, graded MS62 by PCGS and approved by CAC, is a seldom-encountered Mint State issue despite a reported mintage of 120,000 pieces, with a current survival estimate of approximately 300 coins across all Uncirculated grades and a CAC population of just one with 7 finer. This example displays softly muted, naturally champagne and pale dove-gray highlights. Contact marks are close to non-existent for this MS62. One of the most underrated dates in the series with no CAC sale in MS62, MS63 and MS64 shows CAC sale for $7,050 06/14 HA, highlighting the infrequency with which CAC-approved Mint State examples of this date trade publicly. An AU58 PCGS CAC sold for $3,120 12/19 HA. Make sure to throw out the comps given how few CAC there are and how impossible they are to find. Considering that the Ohio Collection is pleased to offer 2!
