Description
Another tough 50s P-Mint coin from a low mintage of 177,060, the silver meltings that occurred in 1853 and subsequent years only add to the scarcity of this issue. A condition census gem, PCGS has graded just five finer than this exciting offering! The surfaces are softly lustrous and host a well-executed strike and are pleasing despite a streak of slag that was retained on the obverse from before striking. Satiny in finish and devoid of any contact marks, a blend of handsome amber-gold, pearly-gray, and olive tones grace both sides. - Liberty Seated Quarter
