1652 Pine Tree Shilling PCGS/CAC VF35 (Small Planchet, 70.99g)

The Small Planchet Pine Tree Shillings were the last coins struck at the Massachusetts Mint. Lavender-grey toned surfaces reveal touches of underlying luster. Although concentrated areas of peripheral weakness are present the devices are quite sharp, especially in the centers. A well-centered strike, overall, and eye appeal is quite strong. A tough piece to find in such nice condition, especially so with CAC-approval!
