Description
A beautiful and scarce Mint State survivor from this transitional issue. Bright and even yellow-gold color spans the satiny surfaces and highlights the well-struck design elements. The striking detail is sharp and even with bold central and peripheral detail throughout. Semi-prooflike luster characterizes both sides surfaces have light chatter in the fields that limits the grade but are without any singular abrasions distracting the eye. An example of Bass-Dannreuther Die State b/b, with the usual vertical die crack through 7 in the date. An overall exceptional piece among the very finest surviving examples!
