Newcomb-38. Very attractive with rich chestnut-brown and mahogany coloration and faint traces of original mint red around protected areas of the reverse. Liberty’s portrait shows sharp central detail, framed by well-defined stars and crisp denticles. The reverse wreath is evenly struck, with excellent definition on the bow and leaf tips. A high-end early copper with a warm, original patina.
