1799 DRAPED BUST $1
This is a popular Guide Book variety for the 1799 Draped Bust Silver Dollar. The Irregular Date obverse is easily attributed by looking at the two 9s, both of which are out of place with the first one tipped to the left and the second canted slightly to the right. This obverse die was mated with three different reverse dies, two of which have 13 stars in the reverse field above the eagle. Bolender-15 is scarcer than Bolender 4.
