Description
PCGS authenticated and graded AU 58. Frosty bluish steel brown and light chocolate mottled with lighter brown and tan on the reverse. The left half of the obverse is a shade or two darker than the right side, but both tones are attractive. The only notable contact mark is a thin diagonal scratch in the field under the hair bun and a couple very faint hairlines on the cheek and neck. There is just a touch of friction on the highest points of the devices, but some of the design details are not fully struck up, as is nearly always the case for this variety. The fields and protected areas are lustrous and this cent has excellent eye appeal. M-LDS with 4 "wheelspoke" die cracks on the reverse. In the lower half of the condition census for this tough die variety. CAC certified.
