1942/1-D 10C PCGS MS66FB ex: D.L. Hansen

A superb, fully detailed example of this ultra-desirable overdate! While most Mint State examples of this coveted Guide Book variety qualify for the Full Bands designation, most grade no finer than MS64FB. Gems are rare and finer pieces exceedingly so, as evidenced by PCGS having certified just five finer than the present offering. A sharp, delightfully clean gem bordering on pristine with no bag marks or distractions to speak of. There is slight doubling of the motto, along the left side of IN and below on WE and the digits of the date are also slightly doubled, most prominent on the 4, with the tail of the 1 extending below the base of the 2 at the left edge. Silvery satin-like luster shines brightly throughout with dusting of pale gold and lavender color blended over both sides.
