This coin looks very Proof-Like.
There are no known certified examples of an 1857 Proof-Like $2.5 Gold Eagle.
PL examples in near year's, in a similar grade sell for a tremendous premium.
This coin needs to get re-examined and certified.
When comparing this coin to other PL examples for quarter eagles, it looks more PL than certified PL coins.
I believe PCGS did not certify this as PL becthere are non other in that grade and designation with PL.
In my opinion, this coin should have a PL grade, which would fetch a very high premium.
