An attractive and comparatively obtainable early Capped Bust Half Eagle, this 1810 Large Date, Large 5 is a Choice Mint State representative of one of the most collected early gold types in American numismatics.
Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, the issue features the classic Capped Bust Left design. The obverse presents Liberty facing left, her hair flowing beneath a soft cap inscribed LIBERTY, with the date 1810 below and a ring of stars around the perimeter.
