1808 50C PCGS MS64 ex: D.L. Hansen

PCGS has graded less than 25 examples finer from a mintage of 1,368,600 coins. An issue that can be easily found in UNC condition with several MS67 examples known. A lovely choice example that doesn't completely break the bank, this is a great opportunity for the avid Bust Half collector. Bright blue and lavender tones collide across both sides adding to the appeal. Strong details and bold luster are on full display with slight softness of strike in the centers. A pleasing piece to view, however, we note a patch of hazy patina behind Liberty's head that impairs the luster and hinders eye appeal slightly. - Capped Bust Half Dollar
