1920 d penny struck on a Colombian blank.
PCGS Authenticated
The only country US DENVER MINT struck coins for was COLOMBIA in 1920 & 1921. Mint struck the ONE & TWO centavos. This is struck on a TWO CENTAVOS planchet.
This may have been one of the first LINCOLN’s struck after the centavos run was completed
US mint Employee … test scratch and rim cut is why this received a “details” grade.
Dimensions except for the thickness are similar to a Lincoln Wheat Cent. The Colombian two cent planchet is -
THINNER -
and weighs 3.0g …
these two reasons are why the coin displays a
SOFT STRIKE.
