1854 $10 Gold Liberty PROOF PR61 DCAM Secure PCGS 941806-1
UNIQUE in every sense of the word, not even the Smithsonian has an example of an 1854 $10 proof eagle, listed as mintage 2, this is currently the only known 1854 eagle in proof known. Struck using a proof-only reverse this coin has Liquid fields with Black and White contrast, if not for the bag marks the coin faces up as a much higher-grade coin. When talking about unique coins it’s hard to worry about much, when you buy this coin, you will be the only person who owns an example of this early proof us gold coin. To be fair the 1854 proof gold set is filled with super rare coins. The Type 1 gold dollar is unique having sold for $720,000 in 2022, the Type 2 gold dollar is 5 known, the $2.5 is unique, the 3 is the only coin that’s around a little with a mintage of 15 and I wouldn’t exactly call that common, the $5 is either unknown or unique, the $10 this coin is UNIQUE, and the $20 is unique having sold for $900,000 in 2025 in pr61.
