Description
PCGS authenticated and graded MS 62 BN. Lustrous tan, light olive, and bluish steel with puffs of darker toning on both sides. A spot at the bottom of the N in ONE contains a trace of fine carbon. A sharp cent with solid mint state details but there are two strong nicks on the obverse: one at the eye and another on the throat. E-MDS, Breen state IV late. The cud over RTY reaches from the curve of the R to over the right top of the Y, a die state between Breen's IV and V. In addition a crack outlines where rest of the state V cud is forming, extending the cud to over the upright of the R. Tied for CC#6 in the Noyes census, his photo #35040. Bland says tied for CC#8.
