Description
A really clean, high-end MS68 with strong eye appeal and a notably clean cheek.
Offered here is an 1880-S Morgan Dollar graded MS68 by PCGS. This is a particularly nice example for the grade, with bright, original luster and smooth, attractive fields. The strike is sharp throughout, and the overall look is balanced and pleasing in hand.
Liberty’s cheek is always a key focal point and this one is very clean, which helps the coin stand out compared to many others in this grade. Only minor marks are present under close inspection, fully consistent with an MS68 designation.
1880-S Morgans are known for their quality, but coins like this still separate themselves when viewed side by side.
In my opinion this is the type of coin that would be worth consideration for CAC, though it has not been submitted.
PCGS TrueView is included and accurately represents the coin.
