1794 C-4a R-3 PCGS XF 40 Liberty Cap Half Cent Coin 1/2c

PCGS authenticated and graded XF 40. Attractive glossy medium brown and light chocolate with slightly darker steel brown on the highpoints. Smooth except for a splash of darker reddish chocolate toning at MERICA into the wreath below, and there is some very fine verdigris in that area. A scuff of faint hairline scratches shows on the highpoints of the portrait, but you need a good glass to see it. LDS, Manley state 4.0, Fuhrman state 4, with heavy swelling at the lower curls, fine die cracks on the reverse, and strong die clashmarks. Has nice eye appeal.
