1842-C $5 PCGS AU58 (Large Date) - Liberty Head $5

Scarce and desirable Charlotte mint issue from a mintage of just 27,432 coins, including the much scarcer Small Date variety. Lightly circulated examples are hotly pursued, as only a handful of truly uncirculated pieces survive. The present example retains nice original color and no heavy bag marks, though we do note a rim bruise on the lower obverse. Still, a terrific example of this rarely offered date. - Liberty Head $5
