THIS 1903 DISPLAYS A CHROMELIKE, HIGHLY POLISHED APPEARANCE WHICH MIMICS THE 1902 MORGAN PROOFS IN APPEARANCE. THE CENTRAL MOTIFS ARE OFTEN DEVOID OF CONTRAST, WITH GLITTERING AND GLASSY FIELDS AND MIRRORLIKE REFLECTIVITY. THIS NEAR-GEM 1903 EXAMPLE DISPLAYS A SATINY-FROSTED SHEEN ON LIBERTY'S CHEEK AND NECK AS WELL AS ON THE EAGLE AND ITS SURROUNDING WREATH.
