Description
GEM SATIN WHITE. TIED FOR HIGHEST GRADED. A conditionally challenging issue due to having seen widespread commercial use, the 1920-D is scarce in both the higher circulated and Mint State grades. The difficulty that one will likely encounter when searching for a Choice- or Gem-quality survivor is further compounded by striking deficiencies. Most extant '20-D Nickels are flatly struck, and many Uncirculated coins are further plagued with inadequate luster. Any well-struck, lustrous example that grades MS-63 or finer represents an important buying opportunity in today's market.
