Description
3 LEAVES. CHOICE, RELATIVELY MARK FREE SURFACES. SCARCE IN MINT STATE CONDITION. The low-mintage and extreme rarity of the 1794 means that the 1795 is the only real type candidate in the short-lived Flowing Hair Silver Dollar series. The latter issue comes in two major varieties that refer to the number of leaves below the eagle's wings. Two Leaves examples are a bit scarcer in today's market than those of the Three Leaves variety. Irrespective of type, most extant 1795 Flowing Hair Dollars grade no higher than Fine or VF - a fact that confirms widespread circulation for this issue.
