A proposed cent coin designed by Charles Barber himself! The obverse features a stately shield with crossed spears behind, one has the liberty cap atop, and the other an eagle. E PLURIBUS UNUM, 13 stars, and the date are all crammed into the periphery. The reverse features the denomination in the center with an olive branch surrounding it, and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA at the margin. Struck in pure nickel with a plain edge. Only around six or so are known of this design/composition! A phenomenal gem proof example with eye appeal to spare and a coveted CAC sticker!
