Description
The Norse-American Medal was minted to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Norwegian ship "Restauration" arriving in America. The Philadelphia Mint struck 33,750 silver medals on thick planchets, 6,000 medals on thin silver planchets, and 100 gold medals. Although not technically part of the commem series, it is often included and collected as such! Thin Norse medals are tougher than thick examples as the mintage is just a fraction.
