1911-D $2.50 PCGS/CAC AU58 (Strong D)

The key to the Indian-head quarter eagle set with a tiny (relative to the rest of the series) mintage of 55,680 coins. An unquestionably strong D mintmark on the reverse makes this a desirable example, as most examples show a weak, barely visible mintmark. Light wear is seen and sharp details are unhindered. Wheat-gold surfaces swirl with luster and are void of any mentionable blemishes. Completely original and quite appealing!
