Surprisingly, the 1885-CC Morgan dollar is the lowest mintage Carson City date in the series, eclipsing the more valuable 1889-CC, 1893-CC, and 1879-CC dates! Nearly the entire mintage of 228,000 pieces never entered commerce, resulting a lofty survival rate and many high grade examples.
