Description
Very Scarce New Orleans mint Liberty Seated Half Dollar with a current NGC Census of 5 coins with 1 finer. This specimen is relatively new top the market, as it was last seen on February 2012 and sold at auction by Heritage as lot #3642 and described as "...This remarkable Seated Liberty half is sharply detailed in most areas, but some of the stars are a little flat. Some stars also show recutting. The surfaces are brightly lustrous, with hints of greenish-gold toning and only minor signs of contact. Census: 6 in 65, 1 finer (12/11)." This specimen has beautiful flash and gorgeous luster. With the current market emphasis on Type coins (the larger the better) we don't expect this gem to last long!
